Research Interests

My two main interests are medicine and technology, especially how technology can be applied in the field of medicine. After finishing my degree in medicine, I combined these two interests in my PhD program, which I perform at the Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI) in Amsterdam.

My research focusses on the use of radiomics features extracted from MR imaging in the management of patients with rectal carcinoma. This research is part of a collaboration between the team at Dana Farber, with its extensive experience in the field of medical image analysis, and the team at the NKI, which focusses on the improvement of imaging and treatment of rectal carcinoma, with a special interest in organ-preserving treatment.

Outside my work I enjoy sailing (mainly on Laser® dinghies), reading and visiting the cinema.
